Maths Autumn Homework Timetable
Year 5 Spelling Lists.
Year 5 Homework
Reading We expect the children to read at least three times a week for a minimum of 20 minutes in Year 5. This should be logged in the reading records that the children should bring between school and home everyday.
Spellings
Children will be explicitly taught spelling rules within class. Spelling lists will not be sent home for learning as children will not sit weekly tests however, children are expected to use Spelling Shed weekly to practise their spelling rules and common exception words for that week but the more they practise the better their outcomes will be. They can play any of the games available as well as those assigned for the week. Note 'stage 5' equals year 5

Maths
Maths homework will alternate between times tables rockstars and maths shed - please see the weekly timetable above.
Times Tables Rockstars
Children are expected to complete the challenges that have been set fortnightly and are encouraged to continue to use this programme to practise their timetables on a daily basis.https://www.ttrockstars.com/
When homework is set on TTRS, sections will be greyed out so they can't access anything other than their homework. A headphone symbol will appear which tells them how many games have been completed out of the amount set.
Rewards and Recognitions
House tokens will be awarded for all pieces of homework that are completed and headteacher awards will be given to those children who go above expectations.
