Bedgrove Junior School is a good school where; "teachers successfully strive hard to challenge, engage and interest pupils in lessons. Pupils’ social, moral, spiritual and cultural development is a strength. The school is an extremely caring place where pupils are kept safe and every pupil’s welfare matters greatly". (OFSTED June 2015).
This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.
We are a school that is committed to ensuring that every child learns in a challenging, stimulating environment where children are encouraged to achieve their very best, both within and outside of the classroom. We are continually striving to improve outcomes for all pupils and make our school the very best it can be. We have a strong set of core values that underpin our behaviour policy and prepare our pupils to be good citizens of the community in the future.
Bedgrove Junior School is a well-resourced primary school with a very committed team of staff and an active PTA. All classrooms are equipped with up to date ICT equipment and other learning resources. We have a dedicated music room, children's kitchen, well-stocked library, new computers in our ICT suite and a class set of IPADs and kindles for the children to use.
We have developed our outside space with the installation of our new climbing equipment in the Year 3 and Year 6 playground and we are hoping to continue this development over the coming year.
We know that our close partnership with parents is crucial to the successful education of all our children and we encourage parents to communicate with the school at every opportunity. We have a strong Governing Body in place who support and challenge the school effectively and are available for parents to contact them should they need to.
As part of a community of local schools, we are developing opportunities for collaborative learning and professional development. In particular, we have strong links with Bedgrove Infant School and continue to share a number of projects and staff development across both schools.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for (please note that we ask permission from all parents to allow their child's image to be used on our school website and we will never publish an image next to the full name of a child). We operate an open door policy and welcome current parents, potential parents or any other visitors to come and see the school in action at any time. Please feel free to contact the school to arrange a visit or indeed if you have any further questions.
