Our school behaviour policy focuses on recognition of positive behaviour. We expect all of our children to show 'green zone' behaviour at all times. When pupils are showing green zone behaviour they show that they are ready, respectful and safe in their choices.
We recognise and value children's achievements across the school, in a variety of ways. Pupils who have high expectations of their own behaviour and who work to the best of their ability can receive green tokens, raffle ticket, a gold book award or a Headteachers award. Pupils may also attend 'Treat Friday' with a member of SLT or SLT lunch once per half-term. Pupils can also receive value tokens for showing our school values of 'Inspire, Challenge and Succeed'. Each week a star of the week is chosen for their hard work and effort linked to our school values.
At the end of every half-term each teacher nominates a star of the half-term to someone in their class who has consistently tried hard, challenged themselves and shown excellent behaviour. This award is given out in celebration assembly along with a certificate and a trophy. Pupils may also move on to the bronze, silver or gold zone (and become a Behaviour Ambassador) of our behaviour chart or may receive one of our golden ties in recognition of their exceptional behaviour.
At the end of each year, class teachers nominate a star of the year to someone who has been an absolute superstar for the entire year. This is a pupil who consistently shows our school values, who tries their hardest every day and makes us very proud that they are part of our school community. There is also a Headteacher award that is given to one child per year group at the end of each year.
Head Boy and Head Girl
