We recognise and value children's achievements across the school in a variety of ways. Pupils who behave well and work to the best of their ability can receive in class rewards, good to be green tokens, a gold book award or a Headteachers award. Pupils can also receive value tokens for showing our value of the half-term. Each week a star of the week is chosen for their hard work and effort that week (these are displayed on year group pages).
At the end of every half-term each teacher nominates a star of the half-term to someone in their class who has consistently tried hard, challenged themselves and shown excellent behaviour. This award is given out in celebration assembly along with a certificate and a trophy.
At the end of each year class teachers nominate a star of the year to someone who has been an absolute superstar for the entire year. This is a pupil who consistently shows our school values, who tries their hardest every day and makes us very proud that they are part of our school community. There is also a Headteacher award that is given to one child per year group at the end of the year.
Pupils can also receive awards for numerous other areas such as 100% attendance.
These pupils have shown outstanding behaviour not only of themselves but towards others for at least three half-terms. As a result of this they have been awarded GOLD status and are now our school behaviour ambassadors.
